The ‘Ooijpolder’ is located mainly in the municipality Ubbergen (Gelderland) and a small portion, the Ooyse Schependom, in the municipality of Nijmegen. It is limited by the river Waal and the N325, and on the east by the Kapitteldijk and the Duffeltdijk.
What it was in the past an empty barren polder that was flooded every year and where some farmers and workers from the brick factories had a hard life, is nowadays one of the more enjoyable natural spaces nearby Nijmegen.
